As required by Va. Code § 22.1-79.3(F), the full parental notification—including applicable Virginia laws, firearm safety information, youth firearm fatality statistics, and resources for families—will be posted on the school division’s website in multiple languages.

Policy KPA (adopted August 10, 2026), reminds parents and guardians of the importance of securely storing prescription medications and safely storing firearms in the home to prevent unauthorized access, accidents, injuries, and deaths.
