For Architectural/Engineering Design Services for HVAC repair/replacement and other ESSER funded projects for Wise County Public Schools
Wise County Public Schools is accepting qualifications for Architectural and Engineering design services for HVAC Repair/ Replacement and other ESSER funded projects within the school system. RFQ’s will be accepted until 2:00 PM local time, December 8, 2022, in the office of the Director of Facilities and Maintenance, 628 Lake Street NE, Building E, Wise, VA 24293. Services are to include HVAC repair/replacement design work and may include design for other renovation projects.
No pre-proposal conference will be held. WCPS will select a committee to review submitted Statement of Qualifications. The firm will be selected based on experience with design of similar HVAC repair/replacement and other various types of K-12 school renovation projects, ability to provide all disciplines of services that may be needed, the firm’s location, their financial responsibility/liability insurance, and current workload. When a firm is selected, WCPS will then request a fee proposal to establish hourly rates for various disciplines. WCPS may have interviews prior to selecting a firm for contract negotiations.
It will be the responsibility of the successful A/E firm to deliver professional design service
from initial planning through close-out. The firm selected will report directly to the WCPS project manager and have the capability to provide various design disciplines including civil,
architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and environmental design
services. Services will be awarded on an as-needed basis.
