It is very important that you download the WCPS app and choose to follow all of the schools that you want to follow.
Remind is going away at some point. I was a big fan of the communication that Remind provided but it is going away in the near future. Rooms is coming our way.
Wise County Public Schools will operate on a CODE 0 on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
Code 0 means schools are CLOSED and there is no virtual learning.

Our Code 3 schedule is a virtual learning day for students.
UMS will have a dance THURSDAY, 1/18/24. 5th and 6th grade stay after school until 5PM. 7th and 8th grade start at 5:30 and stay until 7PM. These are NOT formals, they're just for fun. It's another spirit week at UMS! Please see the photo. With our new system everything we post goes to the UMS Facebook page and the UMS website!
The sock drive is complete and it went unbelievably well. A total of 2,203 pairs of socks were donated by UMS students and staff!
Winning the class party in fifth grade is Mrs. Bolling, with 236 pairs.
In sixth grade, Mrs. Bishop won with a total of 65 pairs.
In seventh grade, with an amazing 437 pairs donated, is Mrs. Baker's homeroom.
And in eighth grade, Ms. Burgin came out on top with 155 pairs of socks.
Thanks to everyone for their support of this mission and to our choral department, and Ms. Sorah, for their efforts!

Hello UMS parents, we had an adult have a very serious medical issue today at UMS. All students and staff are okay. I just wanted to let everyone know. I want to say thank you to our nurse and our staff for their actions and how well they handled the situation.
