The Health Department will be offering three Back-to-School Vaccination Clinics this year for 7th and 12th grade students.
All Wise County Public Schools students entering 7th or 12th grade are welcome to attend any of the clinic dates. Registration will be available on-site, so no advance registration is required.
These clinics are a great opportunity to ensure students are up to date on their required immunizations before the start of the school year.
Please see the flyer below for clinic dates, times, and locations. We encourage all eligible families to take advantage of this opportunity.

🏆 Congratulations to Eastside High School for ranking 1st (Class 1) in the Virginia Army National Guard Cup! 🏆
Eastside High School finished #1 in the 2025–2026 Class 1 Virginia Army National Guard Cup Final Standings with 100 points, earning recognition as the top overall Class 1 program in Virginia.
The Virginia Army National Guard Cup, awarded by the Virginia High School League, is one of the highest honors in Virginia high school competition. Often called the "State Champion of Champions," the award recognizes schools that achieve excellence across both athletics and academic activities throughout the school year. Schools earn points through success in VHSL state championships, academic competitions, and sportsmanship achievements.
This accomplishment reflects the dedication, hard work, and commitment of Eastside's student-athletes, academic competitors, coaches, teachers, administrators, and supporters. Wise County Public Schools are proud of the competitiveness, dedication, and commitment displayed by the entire Spartan community!
Wise County Public Schools also congratulates Union High School, who ranked 11th (32.5 points), along with Central High School, who ranked 14th (20 points) in Class 2 standings.

Eastside High School is seeking a Paraprofessional to join our team for the upcoming school year.

It's a wonderful weekend to celebrate graduates from Eastside, Union, and Central High Schools. We will be hosting the graduations for each of our 3 county schools tonight and tomorrow. With that being said, make sure you arrive early as traffic might delay your arrival time as everyone attempts to get into the Prior Center. All graduations will be live-streamed from the Prior Center YouTube page, which you can find in the link below. Please be aware that the link will go live approximately an hour before each ceremony begins. You can select which graduation ceremony you want to watch from that page/link. Here are a few reminders for you and some more detailed information regarding each particular graduation:
• A drop-off lane will be placed in the road in front of the facility, so if you have family members who can't quite walk long distance from the parking lots, you can drop them off at the front door.
•ADA seating will be available around the rim of the concourse. A table is set up near the front door where you can request seating. Prior Center Staff will take NO MORE than 2 chairs for your family member(s) to set with each person with ADA requirements, to the location of your selection around the concourse.
•The Lower Level parking lot is closed and must only be used for Prior Center Staff, school administrators, and school board members.
