The Virginia Department of Education has asked us to share this notification!
This evening, Monday, November 20, at 6:30 pm, the Virginia Board of Education is hosting a listening session to give parents, educators, and community members the opportunity to learn more about the Board’s creation of new accountability measurements for Virginia’s public schools, as well as provide an opportunity for the public to discuss their expectations for the upcoming accountability measurements.
This will be the first chance for Southwest Virginians to weigh in on the issue, and I encourage you to share this information with your parents, educators and stakeholders in your area.

Our Paws and Claws Club stayed close to home today as we traveled to the Wise County Animal Shelter and learned about responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering our pets. We then traveled on to Paw Plaza and learned about pet care and other businesses out there working with animals. Wrapped up our day having lunch at UVA Wise and were treated to a speciality StarBuck's coffee thanks to an anonymous donor. A great day was had by all! 🐶🐾😸❤️
