Great Opportunity for Community Service Hours!
Feeding Southwest Virginia Food Bank is looking for volunteers age 16 years and older to help distribute 31 lb. food boxes at the upcoming Health Wagon Free Medical Clinic. This event will take place on Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29 at the Wise County Fairgrounds
They need about 3-4 volunteers for each of two shifts each day: 9 to 1 and 1 to 5.
Those interested in volunteering can pre-register for the event, volunteers should visit https://www.feedingswva.org/interested-in-volunteering/, select the green “Abingdon Region” button and then select “sign up” for the event on those dates called “Abingdon Health Wagon Event in Wise.”
Please look at thes dates for the Farmer’s Market! Remember: They are also giving out Food Boxes every Sunday at the Train Depot from 5:00-6:00.
