There will be a meeting of the Horizons Club on Friday, Sept 30th, in room 103.
The meeting will begin at 11:40am.
Nominations for officers will be accepted, and club planning will be discussed.
If you would still like to join the Horizons Club, dues are $5.
Seniors- The Slemp Scholarship is now available online. Applications and all supporting documents are due by October 30. This scholarship is worth $2500 per year for four years. Please apply at slempfoundation.org.
Roman Williams from UVA Wise will be in Room 104 this tomorrow beginning at 9AM to help Seniors complete free applications to UVA Wise.
Please plan to meet with him if you are interested in possibly attending UVA Wise next Fall.
A virtual support group is being offered by The Appalachian Substance Abuse Coalition for Parents and Grandparents who are dealing with a child/grandchild who is having problems with drug abuse, mental health issues, etc.
The Lifetime Sports Club will be taking a field trip to the Basler Team Challenge and Aerial Adventure Course on the campus of ETSU on October 5th. The bus will leave at 7 AM and return by the end of the school day. Sign up and pick up a waiver in the guidance office. Turn in your waiver and your $20 fee NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 30.

A Talent Show Contest and Fair will be held on Oct 15 at Gap Golf in Big Stone Gap.
There will be cash prizes awarded. All the fees go towards the prize money and so far we are up to $300 for 1st Place! That will grow as participants grow, and allow for more categories for prizes.
AND...there are special prize for the High School that wins!!
Students and staff that may be interested; including band, chorus, OneAct performers, dance teams, etc. are welcome to participate.
