The Wise County Public Schools Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) typically meets four times per year on the second Tuesday of the month (usually September, December, February, and May) at 10:00 AM and is open to the public. The meetings are advertised on Wise County's website and Facebook page. The purpose of the committee is to advise the local school division of needs in the education of students with disabilities. and participate in the development of priorities and strategies for meeting those needs. The committee is made up of parents of students with disabilities, persons with disabilities, a teacher, and community members. You may express your views and/or participate in the meeting by contacting Jerrie Adams, Director of Special Education Services, or Rebecca Shell, Parent Liaison, or Jennifer Fox, SEAC Chairperson at 376-328-8017. Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 11th at 10:00 AM by Google Meet. Our next 5 day meal pick up for virtual learners and non-enrolled children ages 1-18 is Friday, January 22, 2021. Meals are available on a first come, first served basis at SPE, CMS, UHS, and CHS from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. JWA pick up will be from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. 3 days of meal for in-person learners will be available for pick up due to missed days this week.
