🍎 As we welcome students back for a new school year, our schools will dismiss early during the first two days of classes to help everyone transition into new routines and schedules.

Tomorrow, Friday, August 7, 2026, all schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. Early dismissal gives students and staff additional time to adjust to the new school year, helping ensure a smooth and successful start for everyone.

We look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and success.

Welcome back, students and staff!

'Twas the night before the first day of school and we want to remind our students what tomorrow holds as a new year begins. We are excited for our doors to open to a safe place for us all to learn and grow together. Let this rainbow that Ms. Ruth captured shining brightly behind our school remind each of you that you are kind, brave, smart, strong, loved, and enough! You can tackle anything this year and WE believe in YOU! Get a good night's rest and we will see you bright and early tomorrow! Important Information Regarding Back to School Night and Elections:

On Tuesday, August 4, J.W. Adams will be conducting our Back To School Night. This will also coincide with the state of Virginia’s Primary Elections. The Elections will be conducted in the Auditorium of the school. Due to both activities going on simultaneously, we are asking all Back to School night participants to park in the gymnasium parking lot to the left of the school when you arrive and all voters arriving to cast their ballots in the primary to park in the Auditorium parking lot to the right of the building.

The bus loop area in front of the building will be closed off to traffic as we welcome vendors and food trucks to our Back to School night festivities. We will have signage displayed directing everyone on where to enter and park.
