Wise County Public Schools will operate on a Code 2 Schedule on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Code 2 is our two hour delay schedule. All school activities begin two hours later than normal.

Wise County Public Schools will operate on a Code 1 Schedule today, Monday, January 10, 2022. Code 1 is a virtual learning day for students and instruction will begin at 10:00am. Employees are to report by 9:30am.

Wise County Public Schools will operate on a Code 2 tomorrow, January 10, 2022. Code 2 is our 2 hour delay schedule. All school activities begin 2 hours later than normal.

Wise County Public Schools will operate on a Code 3 Schedule on Friday, January 7, 2022. Code 3 - Virtual Learning Day. Students and employees will work from home. Instruction will begin at 10:00 am and will follow the Virtual Learning Day Schedule. 12 Month Employees will be on call to report to work as needed.

Due to the forecasted weather for tomorrow afternoon (1/6/2022) and the potential impact on travel, Wise County Public Schools will be dismissing at 12:30 pm. Again, Wise County Public Schools will be dismissing at 12:30pm on January 6, 2022!

We hope everyone had a restful break. We look forward to welcoming our students back to school tomorrow (1/5/2022) on a regular schedule!

From our Early Childhood Program:

Due to the inclement weather that impacted our area, tomorrow (1/4/2022) will be a Teacher Work Day for WCPS. We will welcome our students back on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Teachers will begin their work day tomorrow at 9:30am and Paraprofessionals will not report until Wednesday since tomorrow is replacing today's teacher workday.

Wise County Public Schools wishes all our students, faculty, staff, and families a Happy Holiday Season! We will be closed for Winter Break and will welcome our students back on January 4, 2022 to begin our 2nd semester!

The Wise County School Board was honored to recognize the Union Bear Cross Country Team on their 2021 VHSL 2A State Championship at their meeting last night. Congratulations!
