On Friday, February 5, 2021, meals will be available for in person learners, virtual learners and non-enrolled children ages 1-18 to pick up on a first come, first served basis at SPE, CMS, UHS, and CHS from 11 am – 1 pm and at JWA from 11 am – 12 pm.

The Special Education Advisory Committee will have a virtual meeting on Thursday, February 11th at 10:00 am, to review the 2021-22 Special Education Annual Plan and provide input before presenting it to the school board for approval in March. All staff and parents of private school students, as well as parents of home-schooled students, are invited to participate. Call Jerrie Adams at 328-8017 for directions on how to join the meeting.

The Wise County Public Schools Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) typically meets four times per year on the second Tuesday of the month (usually September, December, February, and May) at 10:00 AM and is open to the public. The meetings are advertised on Wise County's website and Facebook page. The purpose of the committee is to advise the local school division of needs in the education of students with disabilities. and participate in the development of priorities and strategies for meeting those needs. The committee is made up of parents of students with disabilities, persons with disabilities, a teacher, and community members. You may express your views and/or participate in the meeting by contacting Jerrie Adams, Director of Special Education Services, or Rebecca Shell, Parent Liaison, or Jennifer Fox, SEAC Chairperson at 376-328-8017. Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 11th at 10:00 AM by Google Meet.
